For any employee who started after the 1st of August 2013, your auto enrolment date will be approx 3 months from your start date.
If you wish to remain in the pension scheme then you do not have to do anything.
I wish to opt out of the pension scheme?
If you do not want to be in the pension scheme you can choose to Opt Out.
However you cannot Opt Out before you are auto enrolled.
Please note – Focused cannot alter this as auto enrolment has to be managed under government guidelines.
If you Opt Out within a month of your auto enrolment you will get your employee contributions back.
If you decide you do not want to be in the scheme, after the first month, then you can still choose to stop contributions, but you will not get a refund of the contributions made to date, and they will stay in your pension ‘pot’.
You cannot Opt Out of the scheme directly through Focused, you must make your request through NEST, who will then inform us.
Full details will be in the starter pack that you receive from them once enrolled.
We are advised the easiest way to facilitate Opting out is via their website.
My charge out statement shows a value for employer’s contribution to pension what is this?
This is the amount that is paid by Focused, as your employer, into your pension pot. It is funded from the income we receive for supplying you to the agency. The charge rate agreed with your agency is the Focused charge. If you multiply this by the hours worked this will give you the income we receive for your supply. From this income we cover all employer’s liabilities which include Employer’s NI and Employer’s Pension Contribution and our profit, the margin of £24.50 we apply for your supply.
